Quick Chuck Change/ Tool Changer (Semi Auto & Full Auto)
In the automation field, most of the issues we face come during interchanging running setup with the next one. The most common reasons for these issues are
- Repeatability of mounting position
- Human error in re-connecting electrical, and pneumatic circuits
- Long Time is taken in setup change
To solve these issues EINS provides different types of Quick chuck changes & Tool changers.
These products can be easily fixed with an existing robotic system to reduce or eliminate human involvement during the changeover, hence reducing change over time and the chances of human error. This further reduces overall maintenance costs in long run.
With the help of Quick chuck change & Tool changers, we can do changeover in 3 ways
- Detach & attach the tool with a single screw (Electrical & pneumatic connections are done by the operator)
- Detach & attach the tool with a single Push button (Electrical & pneumatic connections are done automatically)
- Complete automation, changeover is done robot itself (no human involvement)
Our customers can choose one as per their process requirements & budget.
Eins uses a special grade of Aluminium which is preferred by the aircraft industry to make these parts, it helps to keep tool weight minimum and still insures high rigidity & durability during motion and overall fewer breakdowns.
Quick Chuck Change (Manual)
Using quick chuck change, jig, or tool replacement is done by loosening & tightening a single screw. The special design of quick chuck change helps to maintain the same position after every changeover.
In this case, pneumatic & electrical connections are done by the operator.
Quick chuck change comes in a wide range of payloads 10 Kg ~ 35 Kg. Customers can choose whichever suits their application.
Quick Chuck Change (Semi Manual)/Tool Changer
Eins Tool changers come with an easy attach & detach function using the ball–lock type mechanism, ball – lock mechanism works with a pneumatic air circuit. It has a special locking mechanism that prevents the fall of the jig or tool in case of an airdrop.
The air circuit for locking or releasing the tool changer can be controlled by a manual push button or through solenoid valves controlled by robot PLC.
In the case of tool changers, pneumatic & electrical connections are completed automatically with tool changer locking.
Electrical connections are done through D-Sub connectors and D-Cables which ensures complete safety and insulation.
Eins tool changers come in different sizes having a weight capacity of 3 Kg ~ 80 Kg, with 4 ~ 12 pneumatic ports for air connection & 7 ~ 32 points for electrical connections.
It works not only with the Star Seiki robots but with other supplier robots as well, there is even a separate series for articulated robots.
Automated Chuck Exchange System
With the help of Eins Tool changers & Quick chuck change hanger accessories available in the Eins catalog, we can design and prepare an Automated chuck exchange system.
In this system, the robot will exchange chuck /Tool /Jig for the next operation by itself after receiving the command. Tools are mounted on a tool station, and each tool station and the respective tool have a specific ID.
After receiving the command, the robot will drop the existing tool at its designated position and then move to the position of the next operation tool to pick it.
Quick chuck change hanger accessories provide location accuracy as well as an electrical signal for tools loading and unloading.
This type of system increases production time and reduces unproductive time. It provides storage for tools, which are automatically returned to the machine tool after performing the necessary operations; increases the flexibility of the machine tool; makes it easy to replace heavy and large tools.
